Terms — No. 07 Plainly written One license

The agreement.

In one sentence: buy SkoonMac once, use it on your own Macs, and we'll keep it honest — these terms just write that down.

Last updated — 16 June 2026

These terms govern your use of SkoonMac (the "Software"), published by The Cutting Edge Group ("we", "us"). By downloading, installing or using the Software you agree to them.

1. Your license

When you purchase SkoonMac, we grant you a perpetual, non-exclusive license to install and use the Software on Macs that you own or control, for your personal or internal business use. It is a one-time purchase: there is no recurring fee.

2. The trial

The Software may be used free on a trial basis — the Pro tools for 3 days and the everyday tools for 30 days, with full functionality during each window. After a trial window ends, continued use of that paid functionality requires a valid license key.

3. What you may not do

  • Resell, sublicense, rent or redistribute the Software or your license key.
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile or disassemble the Software except where that restriction is prohibited by law.
  • Remove or alter any proprietary notices.

4. Your files are yours

The Software operates on your Mac on files you direct it to. You are responsible for choosing what to remove or convert. SkoonMac is built to be safe — scans are previews and removals go to the Trash — but you remain in control of your own data and should keep backups, as with any tool that touches files.

5. Updates

We may provide updates from time to time. Update checks are user-initiated. We are not obligated to provide updates indefinitely, but we will not turn a one-time purchase into a subscription.

6. Refunds

We offer a 14-day refund from the date of purchase, described in full on our refund page. That policy forms part of these terms.

7. Warranty disclaimer

The Software is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind beyond those that cannot be excluded under applicable law. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error-free.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of or relating to the Software is limited to the amount you paid for it. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

9. Termination

This license lasts until terminated. It terminates automatically if you breach these terms. On termination you must stop using the Software and remove it from your Macs.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. Material changes will be reflected on this page with a new date. Your continued use after changes means you accept them.

11. Governing law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws applicable to The Cutting Edge Group's place of business, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Questions? Reach us via the support page.
